It is used in daily life because SI units of "Joule" is small to express very large quantities of energy.


1KWH = 1KW× 1H

            = 1000W×1

1KWH =3.6×10^6J


commercial limit of electrical energy:

If only building energy consumption is considered. It is the range of 0.3 to 1 kWh per month, for residential building 3 to 10 Kwh per month for commercial buildings.
